Nurturing Growth Since 1983
Established in 1983, the McLean Farms Feedmill has evolved into a critical from day one, playing a pivotal role in sustaining our poultry sites. From its humble beginnings, producing 10,000MT of feed in the early stages, the Feedmill has undergone significant expansion to meet the demands of all McLean Farms.
Adding a variety of different minerals and nutrients, we create the most nourishing food possible in a range of different rations, suitable for every type of hen from day-old chicks to 84-week-old hens. This manufacturing process is highly detailed and uses industry-leading automation, resulting in the manufacture of more than a thousand tons of finished feed per week.
Producing feed at a rate of 100,000 metric tons per annum
Today, our modernised feed production facility boasts an impressive output of 1800MT-1900MT, a testament to continuous improvement and expansion efforts. Equipped with the latest technology, including a high-capacity roller mill that crushes grain at 60MT/hour, on-site dryer, and substantial grain storage of 22,000MT, our Feedmill operates efficiently over 14 hours per day, Monday to Saturday.
With a dedicated team of 9 staff, including mill operators, truck drivers, and grain handlers, the facility ensures a seamless process from ingredient storage in the expansive shed to the delivery of finished feed via our two feed trucks. The Feedmill stands as a testament to McLean Farms’ commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in feed production.
